12. Metlife Foundation Scholarship (Deadline : Midnight on February 01, 2020)

Scholarship : $2,000

Rules & Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a citizen or an eligible noncitizen of the U.S.
  • The award amount is $2,000 annually and is non-renewable.
  • The applicant must be a member of FFA and 23 years of age
  • The issued amount is assumed to be used only for tuition fees, books allowance, and other equipment required while attending a vocational diploma or college degree from a postsecondary educational institution.
  • The scholarship is granted to a total of 10 students, one from each eligible state. The students can avail only one scholarship at the high school level and one while studying in a post-secondary educational institution unless stated otherwise.
  • The applicants are evaluated and judged on the basis of academic achievement, leadership qualities, community service and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Top candidates are selected after a thorough evaluation from the panel.
  • The applicant must be a high school senior graduate.
  • The student must have acquired the required points in the different categories as stated by the provider.
  • The applicant must be enrolled in a four-year educational institution.

Application Steps

  • The applicants are required to fill a single scholarship application to avail all the scholarship awards for which they might be eligible.
  • Apply for the scholarship online via the student’s Agricultural Career Network (AgCN) account
  • Additional documents include an essay, a statement of character, and personal goals
  • Submit the applications not later than the deadline.
