Description- The team is currently investigating how machine learning can be made use of to educate the robots with new skills that will help them reliably perform useful, substantial tasks in environments that are rather haphazard. It is not a done project and none of the robots have been prototyped or tested to display to the world, but on the basis on how they have been working on it, it should be possible soon.
Interesting Facts:
- They closely collaborate with machine learning researchers and roboticists to make learning at huge scales and simulated robotic systems both real and possible.
- They are attempting to educate robots of transferable skills and learn at the same time with many manipulation arms in their specially curated lab for machine learning research.
- In theory, they are basically teaching robots to predict results and consequences of actions so that they make better and safer decisions even when they are not under supervision.
