In 2013 Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence famously dealt with Pneumonia during awards season. Lawrence was forced to miss several of the shows including the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards where she won an award for best actress for her work in Silver Linings Playbook. Fortunately, the actress recovered enough to attend both the SAG and Academy Awards. It is cited that a combination of rigorous travel and appearances left Lawrence in a weakened state and more susceptible to the disease. She has since made a full recovery and continues to play award-winning roles in contemporary films.
