5. Paul Young

Pop star Paul Young has revealed he was admitted to hospital after a nasty cold caused pneumonia. The singer, who is about to kick off a UK tour, admitted the past few months have been “tough” and the lung infection left him struggling to walk up stairs. Paul, 63, said: “I have just got over pneumonia. It has been tough, took it out of me.
“I had to admit myself to hospital in the end. It started off as a cold and then it just got worse. I am still recovering from it and I am still finding it hard doing stuff like walking up stairs. The tour starts in a few weeks so I will be fit by then.”
Paul found fame in the 1980s with hits such as Wherever I Lay My Hat and his performance at Live Aid.
