Foundation Fellowship
Number of seats: 18-22 new student awards
Value: More than tuition, three fully funded travel study program, and fully funded summer study abroad program to Oxford University
Minimum Requirement: 1470 SAT or 32 ACT and 3.9 GPA
Determining factors: strong academic achievement, accomplishment and leadership in co-curricular activities
Benefits:
Annual stipend for Georgia resident students: $12,300 plus the Zell Miller Scholarship (currently worth $9,552 per year) and a first-year housing supplement of $614
Annual stipend for non-resident students: $20,300 plus a Presidential waiver (currently worth $18,574 per year and a first-year housing supplement of $1,228
Annual stipend for international students: $22,300 plus a Presidential waiver (currently worth $18,574 per year) and a first-year housing supplement of $1,228
Three fully funded spring travel-study programs (first through third years, valued at $9,900) In recent years, Fellows have traveled to Morocco, South Korea, Japan, Tanzania, Ecuador, and Costa Rica.
One fully funded summer study abroad program to Oxford University immediately following the first year (valued at $8,500)
Individual travel-study grants up to a cumulative total of $9,000 (related to students’ academic and professional goals, can be combined with semester stipends for travel-study for semester or academic year)
Research and academic conference grants up to a cumulative total of $1,750
Special seminars and book discussions with UGA and visiting professors
Faculty, peer, and alumni mentoring
Twice-a-year, all-scholar retreats
Participation in a community of young scholars who stimulate each other’s intellectual and personal development through the exchange of ideas and experiences
Bernard Ramsey Honors Scholarship
Number of seats: 25-30 new student awards
Value: Full tuition and four fully funded domestic spring service trips
Minimum Requirement: 1470 SAT or 32 ACT and 3.9 GPA
Determining factors: strong academic achievement, accomplishment and leadership in co-curricular activities
Benefits:
Annual stipend: $6,160 plus the Zell Miller Scholarship (currently worth $9,552 per year) for Georgia resident students and a first-year housing supplement of $614;
Annual stipend for non-resident students: $10,160 plus Presidential waiver (currently worth $18,574 per year) and a first-year housing supplement of $1,228
Four domestic spring break service trips. In recent years, Ramseys have traveled to San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, New Orleans, Miami, Charleston, and Asheville.
Individual travel-study grants of $3,000 (closely related to students’ academic and professional goals, can be combined with semester stipends for study overseas for a full semester or academic year)
Special seminars and book discussions with UGA and visiting professors
